The Twin Ports Rosemaling Society of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin sponsors an annual Scandinavian Festival The next fest will be held on: September 20, 2008 from 9:00 to 3:00 at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds 4700 Tower Avenue, Superior, Wisconsin. In the Superior Curling Club building, across from Menards, near the Bong Airport. (Map) Public admission is $2.00
Vendors at the fest offer all kinds of Scandinavian items including: Carved and Turned Wood, Hardanger embroidery, Knitted and Felted items, Gnomes, Jewelry, Books, Rugs, and of course Rosemaled items.A tea room offers Scandinavian treats; freshly made lefsa is available; guest demonstrators demonstrate wood carving, painting, embroidery, spinning and more. Enjoy all this while listening to toe-tapping Scandinavian music.Vendor booth rental $25.00 - contact Romae if you would like to be added to our vendor mailing list or if you have other questions about the fest.
